LucaBebe Blog bio picture

Hi there!

Thanks for stopping by my little spot of the web. My name is Kim and I am hobbyist natural light photographer in Austin, Texas. Yee-Haw!

I enjoy documeting my family's life in photos. I love the feeling of preserving a memory and being able to look back and remember when. I use this blog to share our life and the lives of my friends and family that I am honored to document as well.

I share my home with my husband, three kids, one resuce dog and the memories of two retired greyhounds who have gone to the rainbow bridge.

New Life

Two weeks ago, friends of ours welcomed their first child. They were kind enough to ask me to take some images of their new daughter and them to document their new life. I was delighted. The baby is beautiful, mama is beautiful and daddy is handsome. All together, they were a joy to photograph. Oh, and...

A journey.

Meet Heather and her cute little family.  For the past year Heather and I have been on a photography journey together. We’ve ingested all we can photography wise. Heather is also a friend to many, wife to Tony, Mama to three boys and a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner by trade. Her job is how we originally meant. She cared for my middle...

Those first few weeks

As most new parents learn very quickly, the first few weeks home with a newborn can be plain rough. Getting a new routine down and establishing a new “normal” can sometimes be hard. When I arrived to meet these first time parents, you would never know it was their first; they were calm, seemed rested...

Lazy Days of Summer…

It’s hard to believe it’s October 31st today, Halloween. My kids are very excited about their costumes and trick-or-treating tonight. Tomorrow will be November 1st and the busy holiday season will be upon us all. I can’t help but long a little for the lazy days of summer. I see the images below that were...

Beach Life

We just recently got back from a quick trip to Corpus Christi. My kids have NEVER seen a beach, let alone the ocean. I can’t believe we waited so long. They had a BLAST! They played in the sand, enjoyed the warm water and of course had beach snacks. What’s a family trip without an...

Sisters {Revisited}

This is not the first time these lovely young ladies have made an appearance here. To my delight, littlest sister was WAY into having her picture taken this time. These sisters don’t need ANY help being super cute and fun, but an enthusiastic three year old is always welcome. These images were taken at the height of our bluebonnet...

Being {5+1} is so much fun!

I had the opportunity to meet up with this fun young lady just a few weeks shy of her SIXTH birthday. We had a blast and once she felt comfortable, she was a ham for the camera.  We laughed, played music, danced, sang and goofed off with Mom and Dad. It was a great morning! This young...

Playing catch-up…

I’ll be the first to admit that I am terrible at updating my blog. Before I even realized it, more than six months had passed since sharing any images here. I promise I’ve been busy shooting and busy with life. With three young kids, time gets away from me. When I take a deep breath...

What do you see

Sometimes to get a child to focus on me and my camera, I ask them to tell me what they see inside my lens. Do they see their favorite super hero? Do they see their favorite movie character? Most times it works like a charm and I get their attention and a natural expression. Sometimes...

Just sitting

When I met up with this family, this little dude was just starting to sit up.  It’s such a cute phase that babies go through. I love watching them try to balance.  It’s one of the first stages of  independence and adds so much to their budding personality. I had such a great time getting...
