Hi there!

Thanks for stopping by my little spot on the web. My name is Kim and I am hobbyist photographer in Austin, Texas. Yee-Haw!

I share my home with my husband, three crazy kids and one rescue dog.

My photography mainly invloves my family, our friends and our life. I also have a passion for photographing animals. I volunteer my time photographing some of the dogs at my local county shelter--I love telling their story and showcasing their personalities to help them find their forever family.

A Conversation with Matt

My work with the Georgetown View Magazine has lead me to cover some interesting, heartwarming, and feel good stories. Although I don’t always share them each month, I felt compelled to share this one. When I was offered the opportunity to cover a story about Matt, a WWII Veteran, I jumped at the chance. My […]

Living in the moment

This is something I love most about dogs. Their ability to live in the moment. Living in a shelter can be very stressful for animals and some do much better than others in that type of situation. The shelter I work with does an amazing job trying to keep each animal mentally feeling well. They […]

Kenzi

My friend recently rescued a new puppy. Her name is Kenzi. Isn’t she the cutest little thing you’ve ever seen?! I AM NOT a small dog person and I even managed a little squeal when I saw her. I am also not one to “dress up” an animal. But due to her cuteness, I let […]

Harley in Hutto

At the beginning of the year, I started following One Eleven East on Instagram. One Eleven is a new event and studio space in historic downtown Hutto. I was in love the moment I saw its windows, its white walls, its wood floors and its historic yet modern feel. I felt inspired and it’s been a […]

Yogi

Have you met Yogi? If not, let me introduce you to Yogi, or as Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter calls him, their resident grumpy dog. When you meet Yogi, he acts like he really doesn’t want to meet you, but he really does. On the inside, Yogi just wants to be your lap dog and […]

About a month ago, I had the opportunity to meet up with other photographers for a photo walk on South Congress. The weather was perfect and spending time with old and new photo friends is always fun. Can’t wait till next time.

Around the field

For those of you that may have been wondering why I haven’t shared much so far this year, I am here to tell you that baseball keeps you busy. The boys have just finished the spring season of baseball. We’ve never played baseball before and until you have experienced youth baseball in 2015, I’m not […]

Jex, Riku and Ranger

Some of my newest fur friends at the shelter Meet Jex. Sweet, sweet girl who we took to Southwestern University for a field trip. She was tons of fun. Meet Riku. Such a silly boy who LOVES the water.  He jumped in the kiddie pool the second his lead was off and was wet and […]
